This hands on activity is to help students to understand how to find a perfect Right Triangle using the Pythagorean Thereom. This is a activity that interests many studetns and is based on a possible real life scenario. Students get to be activily involved in the learning experience by calulating the mean distance the of the trajectory of the Nerf Bullet. Additonaly they can investigate how accurate the Nerf bullet is and make claims about what would be the best distance the bullet would travel to hit the target. Students then draw a picture depicting the crime scene including all three suspects listed in their worksheet and create triangles that would depict the shot of the killer. Using the pythagorean thereom figure out which suspect formed a right triangle that indicates that they are the killer.
